About us:

In December 2019, Markus founded the Non-Profit Million Footprints Corporation.

As CEO, with his competent and motivated team, the foundation will implement all the visions
and long- and midterm strategies that have been defined in dozens of one-on-one conversations,
and passionate discussion with amazing professionals – women and men – across the globe.

The decisive spark was a business call in April 2019 between Oliver and himself.
They discussed a potential business deal that would result in both earning
a substantial amount of money. Both agreed – then and there –
that it would be incredibly inappropriate to just keep it all.
A plan developed, a promise was given, sealed by
a virtual handshake across 6000 miles.

The first seed for the vision was planted.

A few weeks later, there was a report of newly discovered footprints.
Left behind by a group of a prehuman species while crossing a creek
some 80,000 years ago. This inspired the name for the foundation:
Million Footprints

Oliver and Markus agreed that the operation of the foundation will be 100% self-funded.
They decided to not actively seek donations from others but instead to inspire
interested individuals to actively get involved in existing projects or even
feel encouraged starting their own path of footprints.
For both gentlemen knew, that one’s legacy is so much more than just a memory.
